About Machaqmara Center for the Arts

Machaqmara is a place where artists work, conduct research and where workshops introduce a variety of contemporary art and social practices. The Centers goal is to present artists and art in a way that engages and enriches the community.

The MCA Residence Program gathers ten artists; emerging, in progress or already consolidated, national or international, from all over the world and from different artistic disciplines. They will be together for two weeks making use of the accommodations at the Gad Gha Kum “El Mensajero” Lodge, in contact with native communities from the surrounding area and where they can experiment the limits of free artistic creation.
